Taifa Stars head coach has unveiled the final squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique and, as expected, Nadir Haroub and John Bocco lead the pack.
Shomari Kapombe, Mrisho Ngasa and Kelvin Yondani are the other regulars in Nooij’s 26-man squad that also includes Amri Kiemba, Erasto Nyoni, Ramadhan Singano, Said Morad and Ramadhan Singano.
Unveiling the squad on behalf of Nooij, the team’s assistant coach, Salum Mayanga, told sports arena that the players would reassemble on Monday before heading to Gaborone, Botswana for a residential camp.
Stars, who made it to the second round of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers at the expense of Zimbabwe early this month, will take on the Mambas on July 20 in the first round, first leg at the National Stadium.
The other players in Nooij’s squad are Deogratias Munishi, Aishi Manula, Benedicto Tinoko, Joram Nason, Oscar Joshua, Edward Charles, Aggrey Morris, Pato Ngonyani, Frank Domayo, Jonas Mkude and Saidi Juma.The list also includes Haruna Chanongo, Himid Mao, Simon Msuva, Kelvin Friday, Khamis Mcha and Mwegane Yeya.
